While reading up on Chaosi lore it struck me that they are majorly influenced by the cultures which exist in the Arabian peninsula, Central Asia, and parts of north and east Africa with a dash of Maya/Mexica in there as well. For context I am perusing a bachelors in history and art history and when I joined the Cinna community I had taken several university courses that focused on what scholars call the Medieval Islamic World or the Dar-al Islam. So I decided to use the knowledge I learned from those classes in this and future pieces for Chaosmay.

Here Eddie and Pav, dressed in garments inspired by figures from 13 c Arabic manuscripts, meet Rikkan at the bridge entrance of Techunn. The bridge is inspired by the Khaju Bridge in Isfahan, Iran which was built in the mid 1500s. Intricate tile work is found in many medieval buildings found in the Dar-al Islam, and the practice in creating those tessera is still prevalent today in Morocco!
