Small note about Wing and Seraph traits

Earlier this month we had some discussion about the two wing-related traits in our artillery, and users expressed some confusion over their function or when they’re appropriate to use, so we thought we’d clear the air a little!
These traits are not changing, as we found it a necessary split between having a standard pair of back-wings compared to wings being in an odd or unusual place, or there being more than one pair, similar to Devourer and Beholder.
Seraph can be used to place wings anywhere and more than one pair, but if theres a pair of wings where they’re typically found, it will count as the regular Wings trait regardless of any Seraph traits. We hope that helps you understand our process!

🚀 THE ENIGMA TAIL 🚀

• The King of Tails has granted us a most magnificent gift this May. Some of you may remember our short-lived subreddit, where the King of Tails kindly requested to see some new additions to our roster. Many great tails were chosen that day that remain favorites, and with his return has come the greatest opportunity this species has ever seen!

🌟 The Enigma Tail

Enigma tail is the be-all-end-all of Cinna tail freedom and creation. There may still be contests, votes, and inductions to the classic tail roster, but the Enigma tail will allow for an infinite amount of creations canon to the cinnaverse. Buy using a 🌟 Legendary trait for this tail, your “unofficial” tail can be accepted on any Cinna after review.

Concepts we will not accept:
- nsfw/otherwise offensive designs
- diamond, valknut
- feasible/unexplored fusions of existing tails [existing fused with new concepts is fine]
- joke tails may absolutely be accepted if they follow the design principle

The design philosophy of Cinnas is still being explored, but what makes a Cinna tail must be apparent to be accepted:
- large, at least a quarter to half the size of the Cinna itself
- uniform thickness with minor tapering at the tip
- inward spiral applies to almost all tails
- nickname shape easily discerned [no formless blobs. unless you really want. Needs appropriate name]
- easily shown or implied anchor point[s]
- For most spiral tails, multiple coils [at least x3]

All tails subject to review, naming of your Enigma tail is optional but encouraged. All Enigma Tails on masterlist will be listed as such however, unless it becomes a recognized tail.

By making this tail and submitting it for approval, you consent to letting others explore your concept [personal consent/credits encouraged, not required]

• Finally! There is a new Legendary Item trait for sale in our shops - Golden Mead
• This item can be applied to any MYO/Custom or existing Cinna to use Legendary Traits that include but arent limited to; Sentient Tails, Sentient Hoods, Enigma Tails, etc. It does not allow the use of Diamond or Valknut Tails. This item may be available in the Item Prompt pool from time to time.

🐰 Cinnabunnalia Gacha is on Saturday, April 29th 🐰

• Compact, nugget-sized designs including most species.

The Return of the Kings

• Real Cinnaveterans will remember our Tail Event in 2015, where we made multiple Cinnas that had one of a kind tails that were never to be replicated. Some ended up becoming staples, like the Heart Tail. Since this is the decade celebration, we’ve decided to welcome back these forbidden beauties so that they may be enjoyed again with the use of a Defuncket.
• They will be considered Rare. These three tails are;
  ⭐️ Dragonfruit Tail: A tight bun of claws that end in points or hairy tips, and often a flowing stem.
  ⭐️ Surprise Tail: A chaotic, starry, and exceptionally pointy explosion shape.
  ⭐️ Blossom Tail: The counterpart to Dragonfruit; a gaping maw of juicy petals with a flowing tip in the center.

🔁 New Swap-out Pound Diamond Tail Rule 🔁

• We will no longer allow the Diamond Tail trait itself to be redeemable from the pound. Given the intention of this trait is to be given as a gift from the species owner [or staff in some cases], and it is the only trait that is given this special treatment, we’ve decided to stop allowing this type of exchange in the pound.
• You may still place a Diamond tail Cinna in the pound, but now you will only be able to redeem a Restricted Trait in exchange for the tail. We apologize for the inconvenience, and hope you understand the reason behind our decision.
• We understand this trait is in a unique position as far as receiving one - and as much as we’d like to see them distributed more, we don’t think this is a tasteful method. We’re happy to consider other options as our community has grown so much since our inception. We in no way mean to put this trait on a pedestal, however it exists as a statement to an idea that we hold very dear here in Cinnas.

🌵 New Deviantart Points Shop Policy 🌵

•  We’ve been lacking on the Deviantart shop, so we wanted to introduce a new policy when checking out with Points: if your order expires without confirmation from an admin in ❓-ask-the-staff , you will receive it for half off! Don’t be afraid to ping admins to get your approvals seen quickly if you notice we’re missing yours.

🐯 Upcoming changes in May to ⭐️ Wild trait

• We will be dissolving Panthera, Snub, Wolf, and Borzoi and allowing them all for common use.
• Existing Cinnas before 4/10/2023 with these faces will be marked as Legacy rarity, or you can exchange this status for 1 Rare Trait item.
• This way, Cinnas made before this update are still considered having a ⭐️ Rare trait to compensate for the sudden change. Alternatively, you can choose to forfeit this legacy status for a direct return on your once rare trait.

I’d like to make an announcement about a certain fandom that has begun to bloom through different platforms; if anyone is familiar with PartyCoffin and their independent story Welcome Home.
This creator has come out with discomfort about a lack of consent and boundaries from some fans and we would like to bring this message to any fans in our community that we will not allow any IP based cinnas from Welcome Home due to the fact that whether it’s MYO or Custom, we would be making money off of someone’s work; PartyCoffin is one person and we wouldn’t feel comfortable taking money from anyone at this time.

If at any point they make another announcement in the future expressing more comfortable grounds, we will be happy to change this announcement!
Of course you’re allowed to make OCs and art of this fandom, the creator is fine with that, we only want to make sure that we aren’t taking potential income from a singular artist who is struggling at this time.

SWITCHING STONE CHANGE

 We have made a slight alteration to the function of one of our items, the Switching Stone.

• OLD FUNCTION: Allows a Cinna to permanently swap into a Cinnadog, Cinnacat, Teacup, or Munchkin.
• NEW FUNCTION: Allows a Cinnadog to permanently swap into a Cinnacat or vice versa. Allows a Teacup to permanently swap into a Munchkin or vice versa.

This change eliminates certain loopholes and allows a more fair swap function.

REDESIGN TICKET CLARIFICATION

We also want to make a quick note regarding the Redesign Ticket in terms of changing a tail or traits on your Cinna;

Tail changes do not require this ticket, unless it somehow dramatically alters the overall design of your Cinna
For example, a tail that has an extensive scenery-style type painting, or a boa/backpack tail that covers some or most of the Cinna’s body - changing these, in many cases, means some new markings might have to be made that make your Cinna appear as a new design.

The change in markings, silhouette, and color combined are what we consider Redesign territory. Swapping traits will mostly not require this ticket! We hope thats clear ^^ A new easy guide is in the works to help visualize these types of situations.

Hello Cinnafriends, and a merry midwinter to you all! 💝 

This month we have a variety of changes implemented to our new site, a brand new Cinnapet surprise, and more sneak peeks at this year’s secrets.

🏦 PLease take a look at our brand new shop! 

Our Weebly site is still a working shop, but this site will be defunct and offline within the next couple months as we fully shift over to one site for everything Cinna-related. From this date on, our old site will cease new updates as we focus on cleaning and streamlining our Lorekeeper. We hope you can rest easy knowing this platform shift is permanent.

Our points shop is also still here on deviantART if you have any of those laying around! 

📖 Our TOS section is undergoing some much-needed revisions for the new decade.

The most prevalent of these is our Commercial Use section, which we will post here for you all to peek at:

📝 We are going to leave the prompts section of our Discord visible until the 20th of this month,

and then they will be archived and replaced with a single launchpad chat that will host threads containing the prompts and a link to the submission page for all to view easily in Discord. These sweet turtle-shaped friends are known as Chirtles [kur-tills]. Their description is as follows, as displayed on our site;

Chirtle [kur-till] are initially small, spiral-shelled creatures native to the world of Cinnas. Their shells grow naturally into many familiar shapes, and they inhabit a wide variety of biomes. These creatures have a long lifespan, and can grow to such sizes that they have been known to carry a band of Cinnas across treacherous carbonated oceans, shifting sugary deserts, and fiery lakes of spice and oil.
Their shells can grow in all Cinna Tail shapes, can grow to a range of sizes, and exhibit a stunning array of defenses for the natural world.

Hey there Cinnafriends!

Welcome to the new Lorekeeper Website that many of you have been hoping for! We're very excited to unveil this project that's been going on behind the scenes to you all. A lot of time, dedictation, and effort has been going on for months, and we sincerly hope that this website makes any qualms about the masterlist, keeping track of items, and anything else much more convenient. 

With that, we welcome Lexi (redcrowz), Mac (nerdymacandcheese), Rory (GreaserDemon), and Buck (Toxicroak) as the Cinnaverse Website Staff!

We understand that some areas need some fixing up, but overall the Masterlist, all necessary items, and traits are properly implemented on the site! The site will continue to update as Lorekeeper gets new features to use for our convenience!

The Cinnacentral will continue to be up as the Cash Shop begins to be implimented here, but you will still be able to redeem your items from there! Once a Cash Shop has been implemented, we'll be sure to notify everyone.

Lexi and Buck have written up some site guides and updates for you all to look through as you all get situated onto the new website.

You can get started on the website by registering and verifying your email, DeviantArt, and/or ToyHouse! After registering, you can claim a free Rarity Rune!

As we transition into this new website, we also suggest for you to look into the Updates category in our prompts, as stated in the Google Doc. There, you can claim your items, fix ownership of Cinnas, check their traits, and add missing Cinnas!
