Lorekeeper News

Our website is undergoing some updates as we get ready for the new year. You may notice some fleshed out and condensed species pages, lore tidbits, and world details you can use in your stories and character designs. Along these additions and small formatting updates, we have fixed up our FAQ, and are curently working on reflecting these changes on our dA group page. We're changing up some of the featured art, and adding new drawings for old and recent items. We'll keep you posted on these tiny asset changes as they come.

Theme of the Month

The Theme of the Month Cinna that is chosen as a showcase by the end of each cycle will be validated free on the Masterlist, no slot or traits needed!
This months theme for participation is Coziest Comfort ! We got one entry last month, and they'll be up for free raffle soon! 🍎

💸 Discord advertising/trading channel updates

 The advertising channels have been updated. ⁠💸-trading-center + ⁠🎨-commission-ads will be purged every Sunday at 12pm CET (starting next Sunday) rather than each post being deleted after sitting for 7 days. ⁠🍞-market-chat + ⁠💵-trading-chat are also to be archived. General channels can be used to comment on adopts and listings, but not to be treated as replacements for the market chat and trading chat.

We encourage usage of the site, TH or Discord DMs for your methods of contact in regards to ads, as much overposting and even double bumping has occurred. These changes are also to relieve stress on the admin end. We hope you understand!

Good timezone, Cinnafriends! Today we'd like to announce our October event, which will be... drumroll... 🥁

🕸️ 🎃 Halloween CinnAdvent 2023! 🦇 👻

How will this event work?

Throughout the entire month of October, one adopt will be revealed per day. These Cinnas will each be Raffle to Adopt (RTA), giving everyone a chance to enter to nab the hallowed Cinna of their dreams! All designs will be Halloween-inspired, and some may even be truly spooky. (Common triggers + gore will either be avoided or spoilered.) All of our Admins and Guest Artists have been given the opportunity to work on this advent, so expect a wonderful variety of designs!

(For those unfamiliar with RTAs: Each day, one design is raffled. The winner of that day's raffle will pay for the Cinna! There is no entry/ticket fee. You must have the full purchasing amount on hand that day should you be rolled as the winner.)

Raffles will be done IN OUR DISCORD ONLY!

The prices and rarities of these Advent designs will increase as the month goes on, building up until Halloween, when things get really exciting!

We have opened a crucial ⁠⭐-feedback-suggestions thread regarding a new layout change on our site! Please let us know some possible themes and styles youd like to see, as we will be getting in contact with a designer who can give us a shiny new coat of icing!

Once we settle on an aesthetic you guys all really like, we will contact said designer and get the bun rolling on a fresh and tasty new face for the new year. We would like to do this by early November, so please don’t be afraid to share your thoughts!

How would you like to hear new lore reveals for the species? Recently a lot of loose ends have found themselves in neat and tidy knots regarding the origin of Cinnas in their world, and holes in the canon are finally being patched in ways that work.
We want to know if this kind of information would best be revealed in an event, announcement, etc. Please leave us some additional feedback, and we’ll be sure to make the reveal a special occasion!

We want to incentivize exploring more forms for your Cinna instead of just choosing one. We will be retiring the Switching Stone due to lack of interest and function by October 10th! Feel free to hold onto your Stone for future use, it will retain its ability forever - or keep it as a vintage collectable.

Hello Cinnafriends, we’re wishing you a safe and joyful Summer! We have some things you might enjoy for July. Your anonymous feedback really helped us see the species and community from another angle, and you guys couldn’t be more helpful [and polite - we really appreciate it!]. We’re still working on some of the larger stuff you guys wanted to see changed or added, so we hope you check in next month [or sooner!] for more news!

Item Updates & Changes

We have some Item Updates that we hope bring some positive quality of life changes, even if by a little. These changes should result in slightly easier navigation on our site, and reduced effort for processing for designs.

• We will be renaming Magic Carrot to Cinnabunny MYO Slot for convenience! It can be found easier on site dropdowns and searches.
• The few specific Legendary traits [cerberus, chimera, triple tail] will be replaced with the Golden Mead item on our site. The Golden Mead item can be used to add any Restricted trait [sans Diamond Tail] to a Cinna. If you have these items, feel free to submit an Item Redemption Prompt or Inventory Prompt to swap it for a Golden Mead :mead:
• The Endless Summer Event Idols will also be replaced/removed – as rare traits, they can be used any time with a Rarity Rune. They will still work the same if they are in your inventory, and may be swapped by us if they are not used up. If you have these items, feel free to submit an Item Redemption Prompt or Inventory Prompt to swap it for a Rarity Rune.
• Cinnawyverns and Cinnadragons will have one combined MYO Slot, where, if obtained, you would be able to choose which species you’d like to add to the Masterlist. It does not contain two MYOs, or one of each.
• We will be retiring the Void Cola item and Voidal Prompt. These processes will be done by request. A cooldown still applies for voiding and legitimizing Cinnas so it is not done too frequently.
  We have an optional MYO prompt this month where you can show some love to our veteran Vanta, and earn some goodies for your love and thanks. To anyone with a Void Cola in your inventory, you may redeem it for a $10 or below item via the Item Redemption prompt!
• We’ve removed the shop items thread in ⁠#💰-shop , and link directly to all of our stores for easy access.

IP Badge Update

We are changing the IP Badge into the Media Badge, to cover a wider range of media inspiration. This should hopefully clear up some confusion on a handful of designs. If you have any questions, concerns, or requests, please don’t hesitate to let a mod know!

Cinnart Fight 2023 will begin today!

This event is meant to work alongside the official Art Fight if you decide to participate in it, but it's not mandatory! We wanted to give you guys something while Art Fight is on a good amount of people's minds.

(To people who were in the Chaosma Battle Event last year, this event functions very much like that!)

It was a dark and stormy night...

A bright full moon looms in the sky as a swarm of bats squeak in the air as they flap their wings across the world. A strange phenomenon appears to have swept the Cinnaverse- Cinnas have become more monstrous in nature, some bearing sharp needle-like fangs, some bearing a more wolf-like form like none other.

A piercing hiss and a bellowing howl clash against each other as swarms of Cinnas begin to come together.

Come together... for battle.

🧛 VAMPINNAS VS. WERECINNAS - CINNART FIGHT 2023 🐺

JULY 1ST - 31ST 2023

The Jist:

Participants are split into two teams. Players "attack" people of the opposing team by making art of Cinnas you choose belonging to members of the other team. You are free to use almost any style. Your team receives points based on what you create for the other team with each attack.

The artist that receives the attack can then counter that attack by drawing a Cinna belonging to the person who attacked them, or pay it forward by attacking a different person on the other team.

At the end of the month, the team with the greater score wins.

But remember, while there are point scores, the real goal is to celebrate characters with your fellow artists.
Art Fight is about giving and receiving amazing art. 

Requirements:

• ⭐ You are fighting for either the side of Vampires (Vampinnas) or Werewolves (Werecinnas), much like Art Fight 2023! Participation of the actual Art Fight is not mandatory but preferred. Pick your team here and/or indicate it somewhere on your profile.
• ⭐ You must draw gift art of someone else's Cinna, preferably on the team you are against but friendly fire is allowed.
• ⭐ Any finish, any medium, any size is allowed as long as you created it.
• ⭐ Pieces will be valued by the official Art Fight's point system.
• ⭐ Your entries will be counted at the end of the event and you will be given an appropriate amount of prizes for your effort. The winning team will get a bonus reward.
• 🌟 Rewards for this event are a secret and will be revealed at the end via an update.

Notes:

• Unfortunately, we do not have the means to autobalance teams. We do encourage you to keep the teams balanced when possible.
• Switching teams in the middle of the event is not allowed. If we catch you doing this without switching back (in case of an accident), you will not be able to participate from the next Cinnaverse event. You may join whenever in the event, however.
• If you have any questions, head to ⁠ask the staff!
