Happy Timezone, everyone! We hope this slightly belated update finds you well.

It's Chaosmay, the month where we here in the Cinnaverse go on a yearly excursion into the heart of Chaosi territory! We have lots of fun things planned this month, so let's put on our khaki hats, pack our knapsacks, and set out for the journey!

🌄 CHAOSMAY EVENT 2025: Tales of techunne 🌄

This year's Chaosmay event is a 4-week art prompt gauntlet!

After your last encounter with the great wyrm, the invitation has been extended to you all to take a hiking tour into the Chaosi-settled Windshade Mountains, led by a quirky yet passionate Chaosi named Rikkan! What great stories will you discover along the way?

Your goal each week is to complete an art piece that follows that prompt! The more you participate, and the more effort you put in, the bigger your item boon will be at the end of the event! Sound exciting? For more details, including your weekly prompt updates, a related general chat, and a place to show off your event pieces, check the Event Zone for 3 corresponding channels! They will open up shortly after this announcement goes live.

🔎 NEW CHAOSI NPC: RIKKAN 📜

Your tour guide of Techunne is none other than this dashing fellow!

Meet Rikkan (he/him), our newest official NPC and first  Chaosi NPC! Rikkan is now available to be drawn for the monthly prompts alongside all the other NPCs! And finally, the "Meet the NPCs" page has been updated accordingly!

🥚 Chaosi adopts 🥚

Alongside the weekly event updates, we will be releasing an admin-designed Chaosi for raffle! That's 4 new Chaosi adopts this month that will be totally free to own! Keep an eye out for today's raffle design by none other than darkvvision !

In addition to the free raffle designs, however, a handful of admins are putting together a Mystery Egg adopt sheet! A nostalgic return to the old DeviantART days, these Chaosi adopts will be previewed only by their corresponding egg designs. The full designs will then be revealed as the eggs are purchased! We're keeping prices low this round, so as not to detract from the affordable nature of Chaosi. Details about the date and time of the batch, as well as a one-hour opening warning, will be announced in #artist-updates. We hope you'll love these scaly friends!

🗞️ NEW anatomy guides: classic versus contemporary 🗞️

Kenna has two new supplementary guides comparing classic / old-school anatomy to the more modern / adapted interpretation. These visuals highlight some differences between Cinnas of yore and what we currently approve for masterlist reference. As noted on the guides themselves, these references do not represent all the stylizations or body types Cinnas can have!

Feel free to utilize classic anatomy for new Cinnas! If you want to give a Cinna an old-school feel, using the lefthand images for reference is a great jumping off point.

📏 NEW size chart 📐

Kenna has really outdone himself this month with new assets! Take a look at our completed official Cinnaverse Size Chart!

Cinnapets tend to range from 6 inches to a foot tall.

Cinnadogs, Cinnacats, and Cinnabuns are anywhere in the 4-6 foot range, with dogs trending larger than their counterparts!

Teacups, Munchkins, and BonBons all stand around 2-3 feet tall now! Go you funky little animals!

And finally, Cinnawyverns may be a whopping 8-12 feet tall, but Celestial Cinnadragons are the largest of all! Their bodies are so long, who knows how to even measure their size?!

🍾 NEW ASSET ART + NAME CHANGE 🍾

You may have already noticed, but three of our items have a brand new coat of paint (or should I say pottery glaze?); the Golden Mead, Lycan Potion, and Cham Dye have all been given new art assets that tie into this month's event! But wait - Cham Dye???

Deriving from the Chaosi word chamdai, meaning "rainbow pelt", the Cham Dye functions exactly the same was as the Magic Food Dye did before; it just got a new, lore-relevant re-skin! You can learn about the history of these three consumables during this month's 4-week art event!

🐇 Last month for bunnies! 🐇

Just in case you needed a reminder, May is the last month for Cinnabuns and Bonbons! While our fluffy friends may be getting ready to retreat back into their magical burrows, they will  return next year!
